Presented by Professor James Bushnell, University of California, Davis

Through the Centre for Market Design, Professor Bushnell will present a half-day workshop on the economic principles that apply to the efficient pricing of feed-in tariffs for distributed electricity generation. The workshop will cover both the energy and network components of feed-in pricing.

Professor Bushnell will also be available after the workshop to discuss feed-in tariffs or other energy policy issues.

About Professor Bushnell

James Bushnell is Professor of Economics in the Department of Economics at the University of California, Davis. His research encompasses energy economics and policy, regulation and environmental economics. Some of his recent areas of focus include pricing of network services in electricity and the design and regulation of markets for greenhouse gas emissions abatement.

Professor Bushnell has provided advice to governments, regulators and industry associations across the United States, Korea, the United Kingdom and New Zealand on electricity markets. Since 2002, James has been a member of the Market Surveillance Committee of the California Independent System Operator and held advisory committee memberships with the Californian Air Resources Board between 2009 and 2014.
