The University of Melbourne's Energy Institute has examined the future of domestic gas across the interconnected eastern-Australian gas market.
This program integrates the study of the technology, business and science of energy, focusing on the key areas of: evaluating energy systems; energy-related investment decisions; policy development and implementation; and greenhouse gas management issues.
The organic photovoltaic solar cell is an energy technology that has the potential to dramatically reduce the dependence on more traditional sources of electricity in developed countries such as Australia, and also provide a cheap, easily deployable source of electric power for remote regions beyond the reach of the grid in developing countries.
The team will compromise university researchers, independent research organisations and government agencies and will engage with state and federal regulators and industry peak bodies, the agricultural sector, resource companies, relevant NGO’s and community groups.
