MEI welcomes global energy research and industry leaders to Melbourne

The Melbourne Energy Institute continues to strengthen its international partnerships across the Asia-Pacific region and beyond through hosting visiting delegations and fostering collaboration opportunities. These engagements support the exchange of ideas, research expertise, and innovation in the energy sector.

In recent months, MEI welcomed representatives from the Danish Technical University and GreenLab, a delegation from Sapporo City, Hokkaido, Japan, senior leaders from Singapore’s Energy Market Authority, delegates from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand, and senior delegates from the Taiwan Industry-Academia Technology Alliance for Energy Digital Transformation (TAEDT). These visits reinforce MEI’s commitment to building strong global research, industry, and innovation networks.

MEI Director Professor Richard Sandberg said MEI welcomes the opportunity to collaborate with leading international partners working across the energy transition.

“Building strong relationships with global industry, government and research partners is critical to accelerating innovation and addressing shared energy challenges,” Professor Sandberg said.

“We are delighted to welcome these delegations to Melbourne and look forward to strengthening collaboration through research exchange, industry engagement, and future partnership opportunities.”
