Melanie Sutton

Melanie is the Director of Energy Markets at Lightsource bp for the APAC region. In this role she leads the team responsible for the strategy, management and optimisation of Lightsource bp’s APAC energy positions and portfolio. Prior to Lightsource bp, Melanie was the Director of Energy Markets and Policy for ACCIONA Energia Australia.

Melanie’s career of over 25 years in the energy sector has spanned commercial and professional advisory roles, mainly focused on energy and environmental markets across Australia, the UK and Europe. Her professional experience encompasses areas including energy trading and origination, finance, business development, strategy and energy policy.

Melanie holds a Master of Business Administration (Exec), Bachelor of Business (Accounting), and CPA and AFMA accreditations.
