Michael Bielinski

Michael Bielinski is the Regional Head of Projects (Asia Pacific) for Siemens Energy.

In this role, he is responsible for teams managing energy projects in Japan, Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Australia, and New Zealand.

Michael has spent over 35 years working in the energy sector. Beginning as a cadet engineer with the Electricity Commission of NSW, he spent a decade working in operational power plants. He joined Siemens in 1996 and subsequently worked in plant design, project management, and business management. He has worked on projects and sites in Australia, England, Germany, Thailand and Brazil. During his employment with Siemens he was responsible for the strong growth of the power generation business over a number of years. He became Managing Director of Siemens Energy Pty Ltd (Australia) when this business was carved out from Siemens in February 2020. In October 2022 he moved to his current role, taking on the Asia Pacific region wide responsibility for management of projects.

Michael is a graduate of the University of NSW (BE and BSc), and the University of Newcastle (MSc).
