AEMO Q1 Quarterly Dynamics seminar

The Melbourne Energy Institute is please to host the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) as they present their Q1 Quarterly Energy Dynamics report, which covers market dynamics, trends and outcomes during Q1 2019 (1 January to 31 March).
At this seminar, AEMO will discuss key findings of the Q1 report including: record high spot wholesale electricity prices in Victoria and South Australia; hot summer conditions increasing electricity demand; increased solar generation due to new capacity, with reduced hydro output due to dry conditions; and a continuation of comparatively high wholesale gas prices as gas-powered generation and oil prices rebounded.
