MEI's recent Sydney Energy Futures seminar provided a forum to discuss what is the National Energy Guarantee, why is it so important and partly contentious, and what must be done to implement it?
Held at the State Library of New South Wales on May 16th, the seminar presented a range of views from academia, industry, and government on the future of the guarantee.
Speakers and panelists included Kerry Schott from the Energy Security Board, Tim Nelson from AGL and Tony Wood from the Grattan Institute.
The seminar was opened by Michael Brear, Melbourne Energy Institute, and moderated by Jennifer Hewitt, Senior National Affairs Columnist at the Australian Financial Review.
